What If “NOT FOR ME” Is a Gentle Nudge To Change Your Perspective And Step Into Who You Are?

The teacher appears when the student is ready.

Today I want to honor everyone who’s stepping out of their comfort zone by choosing themselves and also everyone who’s listening closely to their timing.

When I look back on the last decade – in hindsight, my most transformative years – I can see how my inner shift changed what entered my world: new books, mentors, clients, and conversations. Not by chance but by alignment with who I was then, and who I was becoming through them – reconnecting.

Some examples of my shift:

I have started reading “A Course in Miracles” about three years ago, a book I would have not even seen or grabbed before. I would’ve dismissed it with: “not for me.” Now I see that these moments “not for me” can mean “not for me right now.” Or it’s an inner resistance that’s actually pointing toward the exact place my heart is meant to expand. I don’t have to accept everything I read or hear — of course not – but an open mind gives me permission to explore. And with exploration comes growth.

Not too long ago, I would have probably not even shared this example openly. I was hiding this part of me or looking at it as “not important”. That’s when we also do not step into leadership fully. Hiding parts of ourselves absorbs a lot of energy that can be used creatively. We show up as who we are, we lead powerfully from our core.

In 2014 I joined a group dynamics seminar with Simon, Weber and Friends. I would recommend this experience to any coach, manager, entrepreneur or consultant – an invaluable experience to learn about systemic modalities live and witness the shaping of communication patterns in social systems.

And something else happened: three people (all men) gave me feedback that they could see my “healing abilities”, the way I helped crack open stuck patterns through how I showed up. Some even said: “You could be a shaman… a healer… something like that.” I went directly into resistance. I protected my “identity” as an organizational consultant and I could not see the healing resource that others could clearly perceive. And here we are: I’ve now founded the Self-Healing Academy. Life has a way of guiding us into integration (when we listen), preparing us on our path.

That’s also why I choose mentoring and guidance for me ongoing. Not because I “need” it but because I want the mirror. I want to grow. It’s my commitment and choice.

If this reflection resonates, stay connected for our creations within the Self Healing Academy.

You are exactly where you’re meant to be right now. And you have choices.

Much love 💛,

Marijana
